The Tale of the Giants’ Race

Beyond the distant mountains, there was a mysterious valley inhabited by giants. These giants were very brave and incredibly strong. They were friends with one another, but in the valley, there was a tradition. According to this tradition, every century, a race was held among the giants. The fastest giant would be crowned the king of the valley.

The big day had arrived. The giants eagerly awaited the time for the race. Each giant was ready to do their best to win. Among them, the strongest and fastest was the Bull Giant. Having waited long for this race, the Bull Giant thought he would win by a wide margin. However, the smaller and frailer Mert Giant announced that he would also participate in the race. The other big giants mocked him, making jokes at his expense.

Despite not being as strong as the other giants, Mert Giant was much faster. With his speed, he believed he could win the race. Mert was a happy and clever giant. He knew he could win the race with his intellect and the speed that no other giant possessed.

On the day of the race, the giants began to run down from the highest peak of the valley, trying to reach the finish line while crossing deep valleys and forests. As the race started, the other giants looked at Mert with mocking glances. However, they didn’t know something important: Mert knew this area very well. With his cleverness, he took the shortest paths throughout the race.

While the others continued on the longer routes, Mert quickly reached the finish line using the shortcuts. When the crowd waiting at the finish line saw Mert arriving first, they were astonished. Witnessing how intellect and self-confidence won yet another race, everyone accepted Mert as their king. With his cleverness, Mert had defeated giants far stronger than himself.
